Monkey Park is still being developed, but the project is taking a new direction.
After thinking about it for a while, I’ve decided that Monkey Park is going to continue development.🎉
However, I don’t want to continue making Monkey Park exactly the way I was before. I want to take the game in a new direction and make it something that feels more unique and meaningful.
One of the ideas I’ve been considering is adding an actual story and world outside of the multiplayer experience. Instead of Monkey Park being purely a multiplayer game, I want there to be more to discover — a reason for the world to exist, things to explore, and potentially a story that players can experience on their own.
I also want to experiment with ideas that make Monkey Park stand out from other games rather than simply trying to follow the same formula.
This means some things that were previously planned may change, be removed, or be completely redesigned. I don't have everything figured out yet, but I’d rather take the time to figure out what Monkey Park should actually be than rush development just to get something released.
Monkey Park isn't over. It’s changing.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck around and supported the project.❤️
